Candice Ashburn

Founder and Executive Director

Candice founded Passion Partners, the global missions organization of Her Passion ministries, in 2010 in response to personal tragedy. In 2007, David, her late husband, a cardiac surgery resident, was killed when the Life Flight jet which he was aboard, crashed into Lake Michigan. At 34, she was left with a 4 year old, a 2 year old and 10 month old with Down’s Syndrome.

Currently Passion Partners cares for thousands through community development initiatives in Kenya & Uganda by providing practical relief and long-term development in health care, education, housing, clean water, counseling and eternal respite through the Hope of the Gospel.

In addition to championing the cause of the poor and marginalized, Candice, challenges audiences to find their redemptive role in God’s greater story. Drawing from her tested faith, she is also a passionate speaker and Bible teacher who has encouraged people around the world.

With experience in development and corporate sales & sales training, Candice leads a small but mighty team who are out to prove the “2+5=5000” equation. “If we can take 2 fish & 5 loaves and feed 5,000, then God is obviously multiplying our resources and performing miracles . . . We want to do more with less . . . ” Candice lives in Nashville with her 3 children, Maddie Annabelle & David. To learn more about Candice’s teaching ministry visit
